Niagara Falls tour prices: all-inclusive or DIY?

The all-inclusive USA side tour costs about twice what the two big admissions cost at the gate. Here is exactly what the difference buys, and when it is worth paying.

"All-inclusive" on the American side means the admissions, the guide, hotel pickup, bottled water and a book of coupons. It does not mean food, and it does not mean the guide's tip.

Prices below are from the live Viator listings and the official Niagara Falls State Park pages, checked in October 2026. They move with the season, so the checkout price is the one that counts.

The quick answer

The all-inclusive USA side tour is from $120 per adult (13 and over), about $95 for children 5 to 12, and free for under-5s on a lap. Buying the Maid of the Mist ($30.25) and Cave of the Winds ($23) yourself costs $53.25 per adult in summer, plus $10 to $15 for parking. The roughly $65 gap pays for pickup, a guide, ticket handling and about $40 in coupons.

How much does the all-inclusive Niagara Falls tour cost in 2026?

From $120 per adult on Viator, about $95 for children 5 to 12, and nothing for under-5s who sit on a lap.

The tours that cover the same ground on the US side all land in a narrow band. The differences are group size, skip-the-line tickets and whether you also cross into Canada.

What does it cost to do it yourself?

In summer, $53.25 per adult for the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds, plus $10 to $15 to park at Niagara Falls State Park.

The Observation Tower deck is open to all visitors, and the park's viewpoints (Prospect Point, Goat Island, Luna Island, Terrapin Point) are free to walk. Parking in Lots 1 and 2 is $10 on weekdays and $15 Friday to Sunday from May 22 to October 11, and $10 off season.

What exactly is included in the $120?

Admission to the Maid of the Mist (with poncho), the Cave of the Winds and the Observation Tower, a guide, hotel pickup in downtown Niagara Falls, NY, bottled water and about $40 in discount coupons.

  • Guided stops at Goat Island, Luna Island, Bridal Veil Falls, Terrapin Point and Prospect Point
  • Pickup and drop-off at downtown Niagara Falls, NY hotels (US side only; no pickup in Canada or Buffalo)
  • Coupons for local restaurants and attractions
  • An optional Fireworks and Light Show add-on at checkout, with a second pickup at 9:00 PM

Cave of the Winds is the second big admission in the price.

What is not included?

Food and the guide's gratuity: the listing names the tip as its only exclusion, and no meal is part of the day.

Budget for lunch after the tour (the coupons help) and cash for the tip. One guest wrote that they felt terrible not being prepared to tip their guide, so bring a few bills.

Do children pay less?

Yes: on the flagship, children 5 to 12 pay a discounted rate of about $95, and under-5s ride free on an adult's lap.

At the gate, a child pays $19.75 for the boat and $19 for the cave, so the gap per child is wider than per adult. Families on a tight budget should read Niagara Falls with kids before deciding.

What changes in the off season?

The boat closes from early November to spring, so the tour swaps it for a wine tasting with an appetizer (one per two guests), and the Cave of the Winds walk becomes a Niagara Gorge walk.

The Maid of the Mist's last day in 2026 is November 8. An Autumn/Winter option adds a hot drink and a cookie at a local bakery. Guests on other tours note that winter closures are not always obvious from the description, so check the season before you compare prices.

Is the all-inclusive tour worth the money?

Yes if you value time and no planning; no if you are on a tight budget and happy to queue and park.

The roughly $65 per adult buys a door-to-door half day, tickets handled for you, a guide's stories and route, and no parking. Guests on the skip-line version say the tour let them avoid the lines for the boat and the cave. The trade-off is a group: guests on big tours report waiting for other passengers between stops.

What are the cheaper options?

The walking tour with the Maid of the Mist is $57, and the small-group tour is $114 with the boat, cave and tower.

The walking tour skips the cave and pickup and meets at 333 Prospect St. Doing it all yourself is the cheapest of all. If you want the Canadian view too, see American vs Canadian side.
